Motor City Petanque, a club in the metro Detroit area, logo design. We wanted a logo that was modern, reflected the grit of the metro Detroit area, as well as, the Petanque club itself.
We wanted the logo to display the common method of hold and tossing a Petanque boule. Using a photo reference a design was started in Illustrator.
Once the graphics were created it was time to finalize the type face itself. Various styles were selected before deciding on the typeface below.
Two styles of the logo were created to allow use in multiple formats from web, print, and merchandise.
